One of the best Unico Riviera Maya excursions is the simplest: a private yacht or catamaran from Puerto Aventuras Marina, about 10 minutes up the coast from the resort. It's just the two of you (or your group) and a crew, with an open bar, snorkel gear and food included, from $1,050 for the whole boat.
UNICO 20°87° is an adults-only resort on the beach between Puerto Aventuras and Akumal, so most guests are couples, honeymooners and friends on a grown-up getaway. This guide covers the private boat trips that suit that kind of stay, 2026 prices, the upgrades worth adding and how to get from the lobby to the boat.
Good to know: Unico has its own excellent lineup of adventures, from cenotes and ruins to group sailing trips, and guests rave about them. If you'd rather have a whole boat to yourselves for a few hours, the private yachts and catamarans below leave from Puerto Aventuras Marina, the closest full service marina to the resort.
Why a private yacht is one of the best Unico Riviera Maya excursions
Unico is built around taking it easy: great food, a beautiful beach and nobody rushing you. A private boat day keeps that same feel, just on the water.
Minutes away
The marina is roughly a 10 minute drive, so a 3 or 4 hour trip still leaves the afternoon for the pool or the spa.
Just your people
No strangers, no fixed group schedule. Your playlist, your pace and your stops.
All inclusive afloat
Welcome drinks, a full open bar, guacamole and chips, towels, paddleboards, snorkel gear and a music system come with every trip.
It's also the best way to see this stretch of coast. From the water you get the jungle running down to white beaches, turquoise coves and the reef, a view you just don't get from a sun lounger.
